BALLARD

Ballard is located directly north of Magnolia and Queen Anne. It’s hard to find a neighborhood with more amazing restaurants than Ballard. A popular area for people of all ages; close to Downtown Seattle, well established and there is always a lot to do! The beautiful Golden Gardens is a park famous for its sandy beaches, fire pits, kid play areas, picnic tables and grills, a perfect spot for a family Barbeque!

Ballard is also home of the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks (aka The Ballard Locks), nearly the oldest and certainly the busiest lock in the country that operate 24 hours a day to let boats leave Lake Union and enter the salt water in a flash. The beautiful Ballard Locks park is a popular destination to locals and tourists alike. Only about a mile East of the locks, the Ballard Sunday Farmers’ Market operates year around, making it one of the most popular in the city for local vendors and shoppers alike.   

Development in Ballard has peaked after the recent recession to offer modern condos to buyers hungry for modern luxury minutes away from Downtown. NoMa, Vik, Canal Station, Hjarta, Metropole, and Ballard Place are just a few of the Condo Associations in the heart of Ballard and an easy walk to the all of its amenities. The real estate market in Ballard is very competitive, thanks to its growing popularity.

CROWN HILL

Crown Hill is a mostly residential neighborhood with the Puget Sound just West of it is directly North of Ballard. Aside from a handful of quiet local restaurants and other small local business, Crown Hill has been known to mostly have single family homes. With the Real Estate market booming shortly after the recession, more and more developers are building larger projects to offer conveniently located housing right next to Ballard and close enough to Downtown Seattle to where most people wouldn’t consider a dive to work a commute.
