Green Lake is a gorgeous 260-acre lake right in Seattle and is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike. With playgrounds, tennis courts and maintained landscaping all around, the Green Lake Park is busy 365 days a year. An almost 3-mile long paved path around the lake is greatly appreciated by runners, bicyclists, rollerblades and families out for a walk. Restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops are plentiful and always buzzing with activity. With Woodland Park Zoo just South of the lake, the area is popular all year around. Access to I5 is easy and commute to Downtown is quick, making the neighborhoods around the lake perfect for many. Many major companies, including Adobe, Tableau, Getty Images, and Google make the area very desirable to those that work there and want a quick commute. The area is also great for University of Washington stuff and students as the campus is just East of Green Lake and I5. There are multiple popular neighborhoods around Green Lake, all sharing the sought after 98103 zip code. Greenwood – just east of Crown Hill and Northwest of the lake. Phinney Ridge – directly West of the lake. Meridian and Wallingford (home of the Gasworks Park) – Southeast of the lake. Fremont (home of the troll under the bridge) – just South of the Zoo. Green Lake – directly East of the lake. Licton Springs – directly North of the lake. All are West of Interstate 5. Each neighborhood is cute in its own way. Each one has a little downtown, filled with local eateries and shops. Most have Farmers’ Markets, very popular with locals.

Condo living is most plentiful in Fremont and Greenwood but not as available in the other neighborhoods around the lake. Real Estate development in the area is very active. The real estate market is very fast moving and robust due to location and popularity. Harbor Lights, Whitman Place, Phinney Ridge, Infinity, Terraces on Greenwood, Cooper Square, 911 Condos, Green Lake Vista and Green Lake Pointe are just some of the condominium association complexes in the area.
