University District & Northeast Seattle
The University District is a very live urban neighborhood of Seattle with a very youthful atmosphere. Almost like its own little town with its own feel and vibe, the neighborhood has an abundant selection of shops and cafes. As the name suggests, it is home to the University of Washington, one of the most desirable schools in the country with over 50,000 students taking classes annually. Other area attractions include the Burke Museum and Henry Art Gallery, both fantastic collections that are worth seeing.
Northeast and North Seattle have mostly residential neighborhoods, stretching North of the University District, between I5 and Lake Washington. Warren G. Magnuson Park is the biggest park in the area, located right on the lake and has one of the best off-leash areas for the furry friends to play in the sun (and in the water). The Northgate area offers great shopping, movie theaters, and restaurants for every taste.
The areas are very popular and condominium complexes are few and far between. Most condo complexes are along Roosevelt Way, Lake City Way and Sand Point Way though there are several complexes in between. Many condo units sell as quickly as they come on the market.
