WEST SEATTLE & DELRIDGE
West Seattle is located West of the Duwamish River and offers some of the most beautiful views of Elliott Bay and Downtown Seattle, which is right across the bay. The Alki area is famous for its views, beautiful sandy beaches with BBQs and fire pits, perfect bicycling and roller blading, and some of the best restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops. Lincoln Park is another fantastic destination and stunning place for a walk or a picnic. California Avenue and Alaska Street Junction is home to some of the best local shops and bakeries in Seattle.
Though just a couple of miles from Downtown, the West Seattle Bridge, which serves as the main entry point into the neighborhood, can get congested around rush hour traffic. Luckily, the West Seattle Water Taxi can get you to your dinner reservations in Downtown without traffic ever being an issue. The convenience of Fauntleroy Ferry also makes West Seattle Popular for those with vacation spots or friends at the Vashon Island. The sheer size of the neighborhood and its separation from the rest of the city makes it feel like a separate little town just a stone throw away from Downtown Seattle.
Delridge is the southeast extension of West Seattle stretching between Delridge Way and the Duwamish River. Almost entirely residential neighborhood that peaks the High Point. The High Point Community Association is one of the biggest Homeowner Associations in Seattle offering suburban feel HOA townhomes and single family HOA homes.
West Seattle and Delridge are also very popular with those that work south of Downtown Seattle with minimal commute times since you don’t need to go through city center to get to work. Both the Starbucks corporate headquarters and the Boeing Field are located South of Downtown and are a quick drive.
